About D.Y.A.
In dusk of 2008 three sketchy luminaries joined forces. Joey Onestring, Ponyboy Pollack and Freeman Sam were D.Y.A., an explosive sophistipunk-rock power trio out of Bellingham WA. With a melee of influences from punk to reggae, metal to folk, D.Y.A. unleashed a fury of complex simplicity upon the world. In June 2011 D.Y.A. disappeared beneath the depths leaving fans and bystanders alike in a whirlwind of uncertainty and confusion. Where/why did they go? What/who are they doing? Will they ever be seen again? Who cares? Now the year is 2012 and a monstrous rumble can be heard from the depths. Is this the sound of impending doom? First signs of the apocalypse? Proof of the end of days? No. This is the sound of a restless best awakening from a deep slumber, guitars being down-tuned and drums being.. assembled. D.Y.A. is back! Armed and dangerous with new guitarist Ray P. these three skreggae munks are ready to hit the scene, clubs, houses and on your girlfriend with a barrage of new tracks unlike anything the world has ever enjoyed. Still wondering what D.Y.A. stands for? Time-tested and true, it still stands for whatever you think it should, and a lot you think it shouldn’t.
