Curtains debuted on Broadway on March 22, 2007 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. It had previously been showing in Los Angeles, but because of mixed reviews, moved to NYC. Cast members are: David Hyde Pierce, Debra Monk, Karen Ziemba, Jason Danieley, Jill Paice, Edward Hibbert, John Bolton, Michael X. Martin, Michael McCormick, Noah Racey, Ernie Sabella, Megan Sikora, Nili Bassman, Bridget Berger, Kevin Bernard, Will Billeisen, Paula Leggett Chase, Jennifer Dunne, David Eggers, J. Austin Eyer, Matt Farnsworth, Patty Goble, Mary Ann Lamb, Lorin Latarro, Brittany Marcin, Jim Newman, Joe Aaron Reid, Christopher Spaulding, Jerome Vivona and Stephanie Youell. After moving to New York, the musical captured eight Tony Award Nominations and one win, with Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical going to David Hyde Pierce. It also was nominated for nine Drama Desk Awards and won two (Outstanding Book of a Musical and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Debra Monk though Karen Ziemba was also nominated for this). Curtains also won the Outer Critics Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Karen Ziemba).
