Theren - Vocals and Guitar Rebel - Bass Raphe - Drums Welcome to the story of Creeping Jesus. A band still in its embrionic stages but boasting a hardened edge belying its six month existence. With a mix of old school tradition and youthful exuberence this band delivers to the punk scene what others promised but never gave. Theren at twenty nine years of age steers the ship with fuelled guitar and vocals, having served his apprenticeship with seminal punk band "no reason", he is well accustomed to the high expectations of a true punk audience. The sibling pairing of Rebel (twenty three) on bass and Raphe (fifteen) on drums provides a synergy in the engine room rarely heard in this style of playing, throw in the fact that Theren is a cousin and this band's evolution could be described as inevitable. As Theren honed his skills both locally and overseas the two brothers waited in the wings. While Raphe may be a meagre fifteen years of age his venomous drumming leaves no doubt that his place in the band is deserved. This family band won't be drawing comparisons to the syrupy sounds of The Jackson Five or The Partridge family though, list Creeping Jesus under Punk Rock. The band's first recording has been a "do it yourself" effort, the trio knew exactly how they wanted to sound and so took it upon themselves to organise every facet of production. This truly independent effort guarantees the future of punk rock.
