About Color the Lifeline
Sole band member, James Forbeck created Color The Lifeline during early spring of 2007 when he first picked up a guitar at the age of 16. Taking most of his musical influence from Switchfoot, The Beach Boys, and Motion City Soundtrack, he created the modernized pop-rock/baroque pop of Color The Lifeline's musical stylings, as of 2009. James writes extremely lyrically driven music, and strives to deliver songs that have meaning, and perspective. At the same time, he also states that his love for catchy melodies is an undying one at that, and always tries to write songs that are melodically memorable. James has attended Full Sail University, and majored in Recording Arts. As such, he not only writes and plays his own music, but also records and mixes it in his home studio. He released a rough cut, nine song demo album in the summer of 2008, completely free of charge to any of his friends who requested it. He is also releasing his first, official debut EP in January 2010. The album will be seven songs long, and will be sold on CDBaby.com, iTunes, and Amazon MP3.
