About Clan Wallace The Braveheart Crew

The Clan Wallace " Braveheart Crew " was fromed originally by members of the clanwallace fight crews who were working on the film " Braveheart " by seoras Wallace Blind Harry Stevie MacGowan Steph and a few other good clanfolk. The music we played between the fight scenes during our breaks, we noticed because of the adrenilin, was played a lot faster than marching pace, and created its own dynamics, added to that war drums instead of snare drums, and the sound was born! we have travelled the world now, playing from Glasgow to beijing the south pacific Spain Italy, with the Clan Wallace Band offering a continual platform for new up and coming clan members who have music and performing talents, till they too were ready to branch out and form their own tribal values to be played on stage. all of the "Clan" bands coming out of Scotland owe thier origins to being members of the ClanWallace " Braveheart Crew " and our success is due also to their contribution. Many critics have panned the simplicity of the music, but the ear of the public knows what it likes, many old tunes that have never been heard publicly for hundreds of years now find a place in the appreciation of the tribal sounds and images inspired by members of the Clan Wallace. The most notable tune was a tune written by Joe Kilna and Seoras Wallace. One day back in 1997 Joe read Seoras a poem and between them the melody called " Sgt MacKenzie" was born. Seoras who wrote and played the original bagpipes on the tune, then sent the tune thru to his Cousin Randall Wallace, author of Braveheart, who phoned Seoras one day after receiving the track, and said that Mel Gibson wanted the track for his new film "Once we were Soldiers" Nowadays, the master of music for the band is Andy Lowrie, Headhunter Records Glasgow Scotland Slainte a`huile dhuine, Seoras Wallace Chieftain o the Clann Wallace
