About Citizen Rising
Citizen Rising began as an idea in the hearts and minds of Jody Eastman, (vocals and words), and Alex Ball, (keyboards and guitar). Having played together in other Los Angeles based bands; the two started writing their own material, amazing enough music for more than one album. Having already worked with numerous other rock bands and hip hop artists, Alex took on the task of producing the album. Citizen Rising was born and it came to some other musicians to complete the line up. After auditioning what seemed endless cadre of musicians, they where lucky enough to find Patrick Sanchez (guitar) former guitarist of a Mexico City based band, and Brian Lacy (bass) a touring musician for a local Los Angeles band; each bringing with them the talent and passion to make this dream a reality. The Citizen Rising sound is a combination of alternative rock with electronic, metal, poetry, and melodic emotional art. All while creating a sound that immediately demands any listeners full attention. Based out of a small town over the hills of Hollywood, California, these individuals, all in their early twenties, are willing to risk everything for the art. Citizen Rising is currently promoting the release of their first album titled “Who among the angels…” , and bringing their new sound to the masses.
