About Chryophase

Since moving back to Australia in 2016, he's been concentrating on producing original Electronica, minimal and techno (partnering under "Silent Continuum" with Status Nominal /Gary Franks ) and working towards some 2017 releases and searching for label support, and is currently based in Brisbane, Australia, Chryophase is in 3rd year as resident @ www.DI.FM/MINIMAL with a monthly 2 hour show "Multifarious Minimal" (Every 3rd Friday, 6PM GMT). Multifarious means "many and of various types. “Multifarious activities, having many varied parts or aspects, A vast multifarious organization" when adding this word to Minimal it's an oxymoron, and Chryophase uses his 2 hour show to demonstrate the complete spectrum of dark minimal and techno . Chryophase spent 2014 to 2015 in Europe with residencies in Budapest, Hungary and Aberdeen, UK under a DJ project called "Silent Discussion" with Seldon. In Budapest, the Silent Discussion residency, Chryophase had regular appearances in "BUDAPEST in the Dark" supported artists such as Miro Pajic, Troy Pierce and Luigi Rossi at www.a38.hu and KOLOR, Budapest. In Aberdeen, UK , the "Silent Discussion residents hosted Nino Blink & Terry Whyte from Creepy Finger Records. For details see www.silentdisussion.com Chryophase is firmly committed to the darker sounds of Minimal and Techno as its the only sound forms which offers the enjoyment, complication and variation that he need to keep DJ'ing. He rarely has less than 2 decks playing at once producing some really sculpted and unique sounds and has now moved onto using Traktor with Ableton in his workflow. Chryophase is influenced heavily by DJ's & artists such as: Alberto Ruiz, Reason Y, Mirika Rossa, Hollen, Pan Pot, Secret Cinema, Egbert, Adam Beyer, Victor Ruiz, Kalden Bess, Mars Bill, Rino Cerrone, Luis Flores, Fullerene, Luigi Madonna, Sian, The Fuelman, Nina Kravitz, Luigi Madonna, Gary Beck, Carlo Lio, Audio Injection, Victor Calderone, Drumcode, Gregor Thresher, Booka Shade, Slam, Moguai, Ahmet Sendil, M.A.N.D.Y. These are just some of his current artists of choice, and the grandfather DJ of live techno: the infamous Carl Cox still impresses..
