Christian Fennesz and Jim O'Rourke hardly need any introduction in the experimental music circles. They are among the most renowned and productive artist of the experimental electro-acoustic music scene and have both released tens of records over their long-spanning musical career, some of them becoming cult material. Both O'Rourke and Fennesz tend to collaborate regularly with other artists and their paths crossed several times before, for example in the trio Fenn O'Berg they formed in 1999 with Editions Mego owner Peter Rehberg (best known for his work as Pita). However, despite the two being friends and collaborators for a long time, their first outing as a duo, It's Hard for Me to Say I'm Sorry only came out in 2016 through Editions Mego.
