About Cereus Bright

Cereus Bright is an American acoustic band based in Knoxville, Tennessee, formed and led by singer-songwriter Tyler Anthony. With their name derived from the Cereus flowe (a white desert flower that blooms only at night), the band was formed by Tyler Anthony and Evan Ford, two folk musicians from Knoxville, TN. Tyler plays guitar, piano, and sings, Evan sings backup while playing lead guitar and mandolin. They frequently play with bassist Matt Nelson and drummer Luke Bowers. Comparisons are bands such as the Avett Brothers, Fleet Foxes, and the Head and the Heart. Cereus Bright released its first recording, Goldmine EP, on November 12, 2012.
