Born in 1973, in Warwickshire, UK, Carls early influences were Iron Maiden, Saxon, and all the other New Wave of British Heavy Metal popular at the time. As he matured, and mellowed, he got into such diverse bands as the Dogs D'Amour, The Velvet Underground and The Doors. Todays music is influenced by anything that takes his fancy at the time, from Johnny Cash, to BR549, to Primal Scream.
