About Captain Paper
Captain Paper is an imaginary band who put out a real album. Ian Sefchick and Carlos de la Garza played several gigs around Los Angeles as Captain Paper in 2007 and recorded an album in 2008. But the two never came to agree on a band name—Carlos wanted it to be called Curricula, Ian wanted it to be called Ghost Baby—and the project was eventually shelved. At some point in early 2011, a copy of the then forgotten album came into the hands of Ian's webmaster who then insisted it be released online for the whole world to enjoy.
