About Captain Polaroid
Captain Polaroid is a solo artist from Birmingham, UK whose politically charged, often self-deprecating lo-fi recordings have earned him comparisons to Pavement, The Smiths, Bright Eyes and McCarthy. After the self-released album 'Spitting Facts, Splitting Fractions' in 2005 he released his second album, 'Other Short Stories and Better Works of Fiction' early 2007 on Filthy Little Angels, followed by a limited seven inch and a free six track acoustic EP. More free download EPs were release in 2008 and 2009 along with a number of compilation appearances. On July 1st 2010 he released the first in a set of five free monthly 'Beat Nostalgia' EPs, which, when combined, make up his third album of the same name.
