About Cacaw

Cacaw began in Chicago, Illinois, United States in 2008 when Zack Weil and Kyle Reynolds, members of numerous underground rock bands, teamed up with Anya Davidson and Carrie Vinarsky, formerly of the band Coughs, to create Chicago's "heaviest and angriest rock band". Since then Cacaw has traveled the country and released two albums with Permanent Records, as well as two cassette versions of those records. The band consists of two basses, one guitar, and one relentless drummer who have distilled their various influences of metal, grunge, punk, and psychedelic rock into something wholly unique, yet indebted to the various movements of the underground scene. Bat Skin Robes the first studio album by Cacaw was released on June 2011. It was recorded at MINBAL Studios in Chicago and engineered by Cave's Cooper Craine. The band split up in December 2011. Zack and Kyle went on to form Oozing Wound http://oozingwound.bandcamp.com/ http://www.myspace.com/cacawband
