About Cabbage Bomber
Mark Petersen is Cabbage Bomber...writer of wonderful witty pop songs and a multi-talented musician. Mark also plays lead guitar in the legendary rock'n'roll band Shaft and has also been a member of Straitjacket Fits, Cane Slide, Working With Walt, Swamp, Bad Waste, The Vimanahs, The Beads, Meatboy, Mellon Farmer,The Trains, Jan Hellriegal Band and Lozenge. After Straitjacket Fits split, Mark went to live in Germany and wrote/recorded a bunch of low-fi pop songs fuelled by cheap beer and isolation. Back in New Zealand he had a band with Mario Posa and Andrew Moore and Cabbage Bomber had one half of the split CD-R 'Sloppy Pop Wars' with Cane Slide. Mark still mixes the live sound at the King's Arms in Auckland, NZ and has had tracks 'Figure 60 Boys' and 'Retrograde' featured on Powertool Records Bulletholes samplers.
