About c.s.k.a

The mysterious c.s.k.a. delves into the sounds of Bangladesh, a country with a beautiful and rich culture but seeing it's people being divided by satellite-fed television culture. Using cassettes of folk and pop songs as well as field recordings, c.s.k.a. creates decayed snapshots of times gone by and the industrial meets sub-tropical enviroment of Dhaka. Following on remixes of Spartak ('The National Single' on Sound&Fury's compilation 'Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow') and Austin Benjamin Trio ('Mantra For Napoleon' on the hellosQuare released 'Unraveled, Rewoven'), c.s.k.a. releases his first collection of pieces, thoughtfully called 'Tapesong' on the English label Low Point. This release features beautiful voices merging into waves of harmoniums to create a three song suite of bell tones, flickering sirens and sleeping patterns.
