About C-Hall
Biography Of Carlos "C-HALL" Hall Carlos DeAndre Hall was born in 1982, and raised in Barbour County, Alabama. He’s the second and youngest child of Tera and the late Charles Hall Jr. Carlos has an older brother, Charles Hall Jr. At the age of five, Carlos and his family lost a father and a loving husband to an Aneurysm. Tera Hall then continued with the job that she and her husband started, and unfortunately over 70% of women in America have to do, and that is--raise their sons to become men. As I grew up, I felt lost and consequently, I fell into a state of confusion, said Carlos. While his mother was working two jobs to support the family, Carlos was being raised in the Streets of Barbour County, AL. Carlos began smoking at the age of twelve while running with an older crowd, and given the nickname of “C-HALL.” Carlos said, “Smoking was my therapy and 2Pac was my religion.” He was so inspired by 2Pac, that he and three other friends formed a rap group by the name of "Eternal.” The group lasted for six years producing local hits like "Retaliation" and "Panties on the Stage.” They were opening acts for up and coming local artist such as "Dirty" and major recording artist “Trick Daddy.” However, music occupied only half of Carlos's time. Carlos was also a star athlete. While attending Louisville High School, in Barbour County, he massed “record setting numbers” as a wide receiver. During Carlos’ senior year, he was the number one receiver in the wiregrass area with 43 catches and ran for 1012 yards. Although, Carlos was talented in football, no one expected him to graduate high school. For the first time, Carlos proved them wrong, but it wouldn't be the last time. After Carlos graduated from High School, he was accepted into Troy State University, in Troy, AL. Although, he initially felt that college wasn't for him, he came to realize that failure would not be his fate in a world where young black men were falling by the waste-side. He also knew that this would be the best present he could give to his loving and sacrificing mother, a college degree--which he did. While in college, Carlos also joined and became the President of PHI BETA SIGMA of the Alpha Alpha Lambda Chapter. Throughout all the changes in Carlos' life, he still held on to music. Carlos united with Brent Baskin, also a student at Troy University, and into producing local artists. Carlos and Brent collaborate to form Creativeminds LLC. Although they were writers and executive producers of a female sensation by the name of Mystic, they soon realized that “talent” was not enough to be discovered in Alabama, and this, of course, caused Mystic to depart from Creativeminds LLC. It was at this time that Carlos told Brent “I am ready to start back recording now as a solo artist.” Carlos and I began working on his demo at Atmosphere Recording in Montgomery, AL. There he collaborated with super producer Chason Dreams from NuNoiZe Productions. Chason produced five out of the 6 tracks on C-HALL's demo. C-HALL is the self proclaimed “God of Alabama!” The reason for that is, he wants to be the one to help other rappers in Alabama with real talent make it into the industry of Hip-Hop, "said Carols."
