About Buster Chrome
Buster Chrome is an American alternative/indie rock group founded in Macon, Georgia during 2022. The group comprised guitarist and vocalist Christian Hawthorne, bassist Jeremy Pitman, drummer and vocalist Reid Smallwood, and guitarist Garrett Wright. Chrome's sound is made up of a variety of different influences, including 1990's hard rock, grunge, 70's psychedelia, and contemporary indie rock music. Originally named Radio Chatter, the band saw several different iterations before finally becoming the version of Buster Chrome that is known today. The majority of Buster Chrome's first year of gigging, writing, and recording was done in a three piece format. This early stage of the band consisted of Christian on guitar and vocals, Jeremy on bass, and Reid on drums and vocals. Much of the content recorded by the band during this time are not publically available, mostly consisting of demo tracks and drawn out jam sessions. In 2023 Garrett would join the band on guitar, adding a great deal of versatility to the band's dynamic. Garrett brought with him a slough of his own unique influences, and is also responsible for writing the riff that birthed the band's debut single, Frog Single. Today, Buster Chrome can be found playing gigs around Athens, Atlanta, and Macon. The band has also confirmed that they are recording a collection of new songs with friend and recording engineer Cole Mitchell. It is unkown rather or not these songs will be released as a collection or series of singles, and there has been no confirmation of a release date by the band.
