They are drawn to the darker side of our existence and the trials of those trying to survive a cruel and unloving world. Buried Horses deliver a dark and foreboding sonic vision that captures the rugged beauty of the violent Australian landscape. Buried Horses recently signed to Melbourne’s heart of darkness, Spooky Records. In doing so, they join some of Australia’s finest acts such as Graveyard Train, The Stabs, Six Ft Hick, Gentle Ben & His Sensitive Side and Brian Henry Hooper. In 2011 Buried Horses released their debut album, Tempest. Tempest reads like a nightmarish travel diary. The album was recorded with Loki Lockwood at Atlantis Studios during some epic all-night sessions which saw the band pushed to their physical and mental limits. In their short career, Buried Horses have shared the stage with acts such as The Mess Hall, The Vasco Era and Mike Noga from The Drones. In the coming months they will settle into their new home at Spooky Records and tread the boards with many of their esteemed stable-mates. "Judge them by their moleskins and akubras at your peril.
