About Bryson Van Cleve
Bryson VanCleve is an artist writing all genres of music with a Delta attitude & no bubblegum added. In music and Life, he never lost the influences from the deep south (Arkansas) where he was born and raised. BVC fronted and wrote for his band Wake the Dawn in Little Rock, AR in 1999-2005, and for BVC & The Show in Los Angeles, CA from 2005-08. BVC resided in L.A. for 4 years where he met songwriter Jill Marie in 2008. Feeling a bit out of place in the L.A.’s pop scene, the two formed a life companionship & partnership hitting the road full-time with their acoustics as the soul singing duo, TROUBADUO. Today Troubaduo calls the road their home touring 9 months per year. From Folk/Rock & Americana to high energy Rock & Blues/Soul, to psychedelic country & sunshine pop, Troubaduo writes all genres from their soul as they feel called. BVC has been influenced by artists such as: Tom Petty & the Hearbreakers, Steve Earle, Gillian Welch, Stevie Wonder, Ben Harper, Van Morrison, Mavis Staples, Chris Whitley, Allman Brothers, Counting Crows, Willie Nelson, The Beatles, The Black Crowes, Bruce Springsteen, Fiona Apple, Tom Waits, Ryan Adams & Blues Traveler. CURRENT WORK: The New Indie/acoustic based album, “HALFWAY TO HOMELESS” has finally been released as of January 2009. Buy the CD at www.BrysonVanCleve.com and at ITunes! Bryson recently recorded the songs We Carry On, Serenity & Peace of Mind under the production/mixing of Bob Daspit featuring Curt Bisquera on drums. (Daspit is best known for his nine years of music/film compositional work for Hans Zimmer, his software development for Spectrasonics Inc. and his production/engineering for Sammy Hagar. World re-known drummer Curt Bisquera does extensive studio work for major label acts today, and has drummed for legends such as Elton John, Tom Petty, Seal, Clint Black, Mick Jagger, Johnny Cash, Warren Hill, etc., etc.) Bisquera and Daspit will continue to work with Troubaduo as the two write and record new music. “Not doing what your heart says is suicide.” ~www.Troubaduo.com
