About Brit & Alex
Brit and Alex are a American-British girl group, consisting of identical twin sisters Brit and Alex Smith. Brit and Alex (born 1985 in Connecticut) were originally known as child actors, appearing at the age of three in the soap opera One Life to Live. They later moved to London, and became known for their appearance as teenagers in advertisements for John Frieda's Sheer Blonde hair products. Having been regular singers since childhood, they have since moved into music full-time, leaving school aged 18 to pursue their musical career. and were later signed by Jimmy Iovine of Hometown/Interscope Records. Their debut single, "Let It Go", features on the soundtrack of the 2008 film Step Up 2 the Streets, and will be released on April 14, 2008. Their debut album, produced by Dallas Austin and Tricky Stewart, is scheduled for release in 2008. Let It Go at February 10th is Number 5 in the UK Commercial Club Chart, and Number 1 in the Upfront Club Chart and is set for release on April 14,2008 in the UK. The popular and critical website Popjustice.com has been one of the early supporter of the girl. The girls also played on One Life To Life 1988 in as Jessica Buchanan #2.
