About Brain Hiroshima
Brain Hiroshima were an experimental teenage indie rock band formed in Wolverhampton in 1999. The five piece comprised of Fidel Villeneuve (Guitar, Programming, Vocals), Brian Hiroshima (Samples, Vocals), Dean Allen (Bass), Mike Prior (Drums) and Matthew Vanderhoek (Noise Guitar). Their sound mixed ragged rock riffs with bursts of electronic noise and secondhand jungle beats, courtesy of an Akai S-900 sampler with 1MB of memory. During their brief existence they recorded one EP - recorded between bedrooms using a broken four-track recorder and a stolen Atari ST - and played a total of five shows within five months before breaking up to go on to other projects.
