About Brød & Sirkus

Brød & Sirkus are a band from Aust-Agder, Norway. In 1981, they started with members from the punk bands Dødens Triumf (aka Immoral Thoughts/Metallic KO) and Musikalsk Barnehage (aka Forsiktig). In 1982 they released the cassettealbum Far Familie Flagg and participated on the cassettes Zink Zamler and Nuclear Terra. In 1983 Thomas Robsahm left the band to start White Lord Jesus, while the band continued with new members. In 1984 they released the cassette-EP Murene Mellom Oss. Both cassettes were released on the label Neronastri, which also released cassettes by bands like White Lord Jesus, Dynamo Forte, The Head Set Junta, Theo, Drakens Hode and Oisann Boys. Brød & Sirkus split in 1986 and John Josephsen sadly died in 1987. Ole Johan Lillegaard, Espen Lillegaard and Espen Holmberg later started Gul Tyv.
