About Boris Novković
Boris Novković was born December 25, 1967. in Sarajevo. He grew up in a family where both of his parents were involved in music. His father Đorđe Novkovic is one of the most important authors in the croatian pop music and his mother Ozana is a music teacher. He received the mandatory school education and was training soccer. He was a member of the Junior soccer club Dinamo from the age of 12 until the age of 15. He recorded his first album "Kuda idu izgubljene djevojke" in 1986. The album was sold in 120 000 copies. His second album "Jači od sudbine" which was produced by Niksa Bratos came out in 1987. This album was sold in over 160 000 copies and is his most sold album. Boris Novkovic performed at the International festival in Malasia ( Kulala Lumpur) for which he qualified by winnig the second place with the song "Dajana" at the Croatian Eurosong contest in 1989. The first place was won by Tatjana Mrduljas-Tajči with the song "Hajde da ludujemo". He performed on almost every croatian music festival: Festival of pop music "SPLIT", Croatian adriatic music festival , Croatian radio festival, "Zagrebfest". He also won a number of prises. He won the first place at the Crotian music festival 1999. in Vodice and "Zagrebfest" in 2001. Boris was awarded with the most important croatian music award "Zlatna ptica" in 1999. and is acknowledged as a croatian music artist. In 2002. during the solo concert in the music hall "Vatroslav Lisinski" he received the award "Kristalna gitara" awarded by HNZS "Croatia records" for over 500 000 sold albums in the time period from 1986. to 2002. He enjoyes composing and singing mostly pop music. Boris Novković is one of the most performerd croatian music authors and his songs can be often heard on the Croatian Radio. His most important songs are: "Kuda idu izgubljene djevojke", "" Plakat ću sutra", "Dok svira radio", "Jači od sudbine", "Više ništa nije kao prije", "Da te barem nisam ljubio", "Pjesma moja to si ti", "Sruji struja", "Prinseza moje vrele mladosti", "Mašta moja", "U dobru i zlu", "Sve mijenja se", "Daleko", "Sve gubi sjaj bez ljubavi", "Prodala me ti".
