About Bodan Arsovski

Bodan Arsovski is a bass guitarist, who was born in Macedonia in 1956. He is well known as one of the founders of the legendary macedonian jazz / fusion / rock group Leb I Sol . In the period of 20 years he released 12 LP records and 4 CD's together with the band and played live all over the world. His first solo project Endless View was released on CD in the Year 1995. In 1996 he got Macedonian awards for the best CD, the best concert and the best composer for the same year. The next CD Tiresias (1998) includes his music for antique tragedies "Bacchants" and "Medea" by Euripides. Because of this material he takes the offer to make an opera for Seneca's "Oedipus" which will be directed by English director David Gothard. The concert activites are with his "Ezgija - Orchestra", which is a group of six members. They are playing the music based on Broken beat patterns, melodic lines with elements of Macedonian folklore and improvisations with "ezgija" feelings, reflecting sensibility of modern in the world music. Ezgija is an old Macedoniam word for specific condition of increased sense during the play. That's why in some way Bodan Arsovski & Ezgija Orchestra are cultural reprensatative of his country.
