About Bobby Russell

Bobby Russell was an American song writer,born April 19,1940. He was born in Nashville,Tennessee. He was married for a short time to actress Vicki Lawrence, in which he wrote "The Night the Lights Went In Georgia" , became a big hit for her. He also wrote the Grammy Song of the Year 1968 "Little Green Apples". His only big hit for him was the fun filled "Saturday Morning Confusion", that song went to 24 in the U.S. Country and 28 in the U.S. Rock Charts. Russell died in Nicholasville, Kentucky, of coronary artery disease on November 19, 1992. He was 52 years old.
