About Bobby 'Hurricane' Spencer
Blues Man Bobby "Hurricane" Spencer. Vocalist, Saxophonist and song writer with a musical past that has spanned over 40 years. Born in Detroit, Michigan he checked into Alameda, California by way of Arkansas at the tender age of eleven months. Hurricane has played in the legendary bands of Jimmy McCraklin, Johnny Tolbert and DeeThangs and Marvin Holmes and the Uptights. He did sessions with Roger Collins and played in the band. There were sessions with J.J. Malone and Sonny Rhodes. As musical director he wrote charts, did sessions and recorded with Jummy McCracklin. There were horn charts for Harold Andrews and worked with Ray Shanklin at Fantasy Records.
