About Blazing scapelands
Blazing Scapelands is an incidental music solo-project from Durango Mexico, created in 2011 by the multi-instrumentalist Bryan Luna Bayona, who was raised in Provo, Utah. It is difficult to classify its sound into a single genre, since it moves between Ambient, post-rock, neo-classical, progressive rock and experimental music. The project has 6 albums or E.p's, of which 4 were published in the period 2011-2014. The project remained inactive for three years, and then published -The Doomsday Clock- (2017) and -The Genealogy of the Downfall- (2017), in a span of 6 months. The main intention of the project (in Bryan's words) is to tell stories with music and in the absence of the voice, to momentarily push and expand the listener's imagination. His music has appeared in different Latin American independent music compilations, in Mexican short films and in visual works of artists throughout the country. This one-man band is Influenced mainly by the history of humanity and its eternal marriage to war and self-destruction. The project continues active to date and cooperates sporadically in the albums of his friend and folk artist Lázaro Cristobal Comala. -Hushed, experimental ambience and dreamy dronescapes. Lush and lovely-. Andee Connors, Pandora Radio.
