About Black Oysters

BLACK OYSTERS Started in the spring of 2007, the main goal of Black Oysters has always been to make raw and brutal yet intelligent and melodic techno/elektro. Not in the minimal way. Hell no. Black Oysters kick it raw and live, with the everpresent Korg synth and electronic drumset, and of course live vocals. In November 2007 Moyster single handledly pushed Black Oysters to the fore with his grand remix of Joy Division's A Means to an End. Now, A Means to a Fuckin' End has become the anthem that the Oysters needed to propel themselves and their music to new levels. In 2010 things were taken to the next level, with the release of a killer package of songs like Arctic Sucker, Didgelektro and the 2010 remix of their own classic King of Kings. More brutal, way better and unstoppable. Black Oysters played their first ever dj-show in February 2008 at the great Diemen Goes Electric Part 3: Dirty Rock!-party, with great enthusiastic reactions of the audience. The Oysters didn't play their first live show untill October 2009, when they unleashed their boombing beats, crashing snares, trephinating toms, killer Korg and ferocious vocals on a crowd gasping for air and shouting for more. Now, Black Oysters is ready for more live sets, to burn more stages, to create more chaos but most of all ready to make people dance their fucking socks off. Panama, Winston Kingdom, Studio-K -everywhere Black Oysters shows up mouths fall open with amazement. Be a witness yourself and keep an eye on their schedule.
