About Bitchy
Chaz Linde - guitar, voice Duff Lump - bass Lance Reynolds - drums Eric White - guitar BIO (from their Thick Records band page): It's a full throttle sonic assault, a throwback to the original days of angst and rebellion. Blending old school hardcore and garage rock, BITCHY offer up a 12 song debut CD of raucous and aggressive punk. Chaz, Lump and Lance - all current members of Chicago's avant-tricksters The BLUE MEANIES, with friend Eric White of NIL8 fame, beat you down so ferociously that even the Blue Meanies core fans won't believe what hit em'. 'Black Socks and Happiness' is irritable and bad tempered yet surprisingly catchy. A side project that explodes at a million beats per minute, leaves you breathing heavy and wondering what the hell just happened. Extremely high energy, fast paced fury. Not exactly what you would expect from members of the BLUE MEANIES whose brand of punk-ska-jazz-klezmer-everything-including-the-kitchen-sink mayhem (sure they're speed demons too), winds and climbs in another dimension. To the contrary, BITCHY play straight-up brash punk-rock. It's obvious from the first chords of "Dichotomy" that BITCHY have no intentions of keeping musicianship and songcraft the priority. 'Black Socks and Happiness' (an obscure reference to a Jon Wayne song, depicting a guy wearing nothing but black socks and a hard-on) is stripped down and candid. It's intention to skirt any art-rock pretense and simply fuck shit up (usually in 4 chords or less). BITCHY aren't about competence, we already know they're all phenomenal musicians- instead they're about raw energy, animosity, and provocation. The Cast- Chaz Linde: Guitar and Vocals Blue Meanies Organist, avid reader, addict, television junky and triathlete. Overall, above average intelligence (if only he'd put it to use).
