About Birdflesh

Birdflesh are the Scandinavian torch-bearers of grim and frostbitten grindcore. Birdflesh originated in 1992 as grind-mince-core band similar to Assück or Magrudergrind, but quickly took other influences lyrically (gore, but in a humorous fashion) and musically (crust, punk, death metal, thrash metal, etc.). The band has recorded at date 9 full-length albums (including live albums), and numerous EPs, singles, and some splits next to: Agathocles, Carcass Grinder, Organ Dealer, The Kill and Catheter. In September 1999 Birdflesh went on a Japan tour. Five shows were done. After the tour, Mutanga left the band. Moshbastard replaced him and released the "Alive autopsy" LP in 2001 with no label. Founding member Magnus Roos quit the band after moving to Stockholm and joined pop/rock band Melody Club after the release of Alive Autopsy. Their most recent release, _Faster than a Priest Vomit_ was released on July 5, 2024. https://www.facebook.com/birdfleshgrind https://myspace.com/birdfleshgrind http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birdflesh http://www.discogs.com/master/375168 https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/birdflesh http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Birdflesh/2186
