About Bill Grant

Bill Grant is a Sheffield based singer/songwriter originating from the West Midlands. Heavily influenced by Nick Cave, Frank Zappa & Gomez (oddly), Bill has home produced a number of EP's. He has been long time colloborator with Matt Boulter (www.myspace.com/bluevinylisland) since they met at Sheffield University in 2000. Together they produced a number of albums under the guises of Smokey Joe's Blues Band, The Cellar Band (www.thecellarband.com) and the darker 'Two Pale Brothers'. Separated by geography, the combo have decided to persue local based projects. Bill is currently in a band called 'Zeitgeist Tapes' with Dave Coleman (Guitar), Ed Taylor (Bass) & Tom Gillham (Drums).
