About Bertrand Moren

Bertrand Moren was born June 26, 1976 in Vetroz, Switzerland. He received his first piano lessons at the age of six years before entering the classroom of the famous pianist Edith Fischer. In June 1998, he graduated from piano teaching of the Swiss Society for Music Pedagogy. While studying piano, he studied music education, of harmony, analysis, counterpoint and music history at the Conservatoire de Sion. In June 1999, he obtained a Certificate of Graduate Studies at the Geneva Conservatory Trombone. Bertrand Moren has already won numerous awards as a trombone soloist, and is especially winning the Swiss Championship of Soloists of instruments Brass, solo contest and the Swiss Entertainment Contest Contest Swiss Youth Music. Bertrand Moren's performed with various instrumental (Quartet, Quintet, Brass Ensemble, Brass Band, Orchestra of Harmony, Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra), but he prefers the Brass Band, in general, and the Brass 13 Stars Band in which he is trombone, especially. Its catalog includes 60 works for wind band and various formations of brass (Brass Quartet, Quartet of Tubas Brass Ensemble Brass Band and above). With the European Overture (Opening European) he won in 1998, first prize of the jury and the audience award at the European Competition of Composition of the European Association of Brass Band, which allows him to compose the CARRYING in the highest category at the European Brass Band Championships in Munich in April 1999: The bandsman's Challenge (The Challenge of Musician Orchestra). In 1998, the Fund for the development of music for Brass Band in Switzerland it awards the Ernst Graf reward his compositions. In autumn 1999 he made his first compact disc (The Joy of Youth) spent fifteen of his compositions for Brass Band and Brass Quartet. Since 1996, Bertrand Moren honors many commands CARRYING émanents of associations, training (National Youth Brass Band) committees and the opportunity to Swiss national cultural events important (the Swiss Brass Band Championships, the Swiss Federal Music Festival, Holiday Cantonal Music, etc.. ) But also of European organizations (European Brass Band Championship). Bertrand Moren currently divides his time between teaching, playing an instrument (trombone and piano), the composition and direction. Also piano accompanist, he devoted himself much to the accompaniment of brass.
