Born under a quickly fading SoCal prisma-color sunset, the triplet that makes up Bent Jetty is an unrelated family pretending they’re just friends. Finding their way to each other in high school for reasons having nothing to do with music, they were soon pulled apart (slightly) by graduation with two-thirds of the group heading south of their Orange County home. College life seemed to be just the muse they needed to pursue what they loved. Over the next few years, countless drunken nights would end in a jam for the ages. A metaphorical campfire attracting audiences with glazed eyes eager to cap the night on the right note. Inspired by those half-remembered nights they decided to go to work honing in on a sound that represented their experiences, musical tastes, and desires. Writing was a new adventure and the hero’s journey was theirs to take. Collaborative forces took hold. The process was an in-depth exploration, a constant search for more that continues to this day. But soon they reached a point where defining themselves was out of their hands. They had become a band.
