About Ben David

Ben David (born Benjamin Clennett, January 5 1990) is an Australian folk punk singer-songwriter, based out of Adelaide, South Australia. Though the majority of his recordings are done under the solo guise, he has also recorded with a backing band of musicians under the name Ben David and The Banned. He is also a member of Adelaide band The Hard Aches. David began performing solo around 2009, subsequently releasing a slew of EPs and split releases. Some of these releases include a self-titled EP (2010), a split album with Dan Raw entitled Keep It Simple Shitface (2011) and an EP entitled Let's Elope (2012). In January 2013, David undertook his first-ever national tour entitled Glory Days alongside fellow singer-songwriters Wil Wagner, Lincoln Le Fevre and Isaac Graham - the latter of whom David would once again tour with in May on the Searching For Surnames tour. A new album collating "old songs I never planned to use," Suck is Life, was released in September 2013; ahead of a national run of dates with Dan Cribb of The Decline.
