About Ben Coomber
My passion, drive and focus to be at the forefront of the health and fitness industry is second to none. My journey into my career was a personal one starting from when I left school, a journey from obese to health & fitness enthusiast. Throughout my school years I swam at a national level and played all sports, now I play rugby for my local club and hit the gym 3-5x week working on a plan to compete in Britain's Strongest man in 2013. My journey has led me to help others on that path through individual and group coaching and teaching in private practice, schools, organizations and professional clubs. My drive to learn and develop lead me to university to study Sports Coaching & Performance where I specialised in advanced nutrition for health and performance and its application through strength and conditioning practices. While at university I engaged in many sports, started 2 business’s, worked as a personal trainer & nutritionist in gyms and freelance in Europe and Africa, and still enjoyed the uni life. Now I operate from "home", my full time base, Woodbridge, Suffolk. I work from home as the bulk of my day is spent coaching people via the internet and working on projects, writing, consulting and reading (always furthering my mind). Working from home also gives me the chance to collaborate and focus my time on the stuff that I value and that matters. I love being self employed and collaborating with others in the health and fitness industry is hugely satisfying. I write for Men’s Health magazine, Men's Fitness magazine, myprotein.com, FitPro Network, Genetic Supplements, a few endurance publications, consult for GB Tennis, work with a handful of athletes, appear on Town 102 radio every monday, put out lots of blogs and youTube videos, run Super Human Radio and continue to learn and develop where I can see I can better myself and the amazing clients I have the pleasure of training every day. I have prided myself in covering as many knowledge bases in health, fitness and nutrition as possible through courses, experience and internships, yet I pride myself in the application of a solid nutrition program. My specialist area is nutrition, after all this provides for health, brain health, energy, performance and longevity.
