About Beaux Animaux
Beaux Animaux was accidentally formed in a dingy Brooklyn warehouse in the spring of 2007. With Elizabeth holding a guitar, Michael holding a bass, and Evan sitting, for some reason, at the drums, they began to make noise to fight the ennui of both their current squalor and the city of New York in general. Originally, the band set out to create drunken, unstructured, minimalist rock, but before anything actually happened, Michael left New York. The band reformed in 2008 after all the members eventually returned to their beloved home state of Alabama. Adding structure to their poppy, loungewave stylings and Burke on the bass guitar, the Beaux were restructured and began to create actual songs. The current lineup features Elizabeth (guitar/keys/vocals), Bryant (bass), Michael (guitar/vocals) and Evan (drums/vocals).
