About Bears in the Woods
Bears in the Woods is the solo project of experimental artist Taylor Harvey, vocalist and mulch-instrumentalist of Tallahassee, FL metal duo Snake Jaw. Harvey's solo material is a mix of instrumental metal and poorly made "techno". Harvey debuted with the simultaneous release of two EPs , entitled "Metal Sucks" and "Techno Sucks". Each EP contains songs in their titular genres. In September of 2011 Harvey wrote, recorded, and released a third EP, titled "Raub". This eight track release featured an intriguing mix of classical guitar and noisy drone. Next Harvey released "Catalouge EP" and "Menameradiel EP", both experimental guitar pieces. He is currently working on a full length album entitled "2AM Frozen Chili Shower"
