About Battleshy Youths

A mellow blend of folk, Americana, and alt-rock might be a very simplistic way to describe what Battleshy Youths is. The band features singer-songwriter Michael Natrin on acoustic guitar and mandolin, banjo/electric guitar pedal aficionado Mitchell Ebbott, Andrew Johnston on a much-too-heavy bass guitar, Danny Hill on fancy keyboards and acoustic guitar, and Eric Wilkins on percussion. Since their debut release (‘Grow‘) in February 2011, they have received airplay on WSTW and on Graffiti Radio. Based out of Newark, Delaware, Battleshy Youths has been playing at concerts in the Delaware and southern Pennsylvania region since early 2009. They have taken the stage at local venues such as World Cafe Live at the Queen Theater and Mojo Main, and recently performed at Bethlehem, PA’s week long music festival, Musikfest. The band is currently working on another CD as well as a split-EP christmas album with another local favorite, The Paper Janes.
