About Baroda
Baroda are an Irish rock band formed in Belfast in 2016. The band consists of Neil Goss (vocals, guitar), Michael Klontzakis (bass) and Christopher Parker (drums). Their music draws on inspirations from indie and alternative rock, citing bands such as Arctic Monkeys, U2, Oasis and Thin Lizzy as influences. Baroda released their independently produced debut EP in 2019 titled, ‘The Art of Decay’. Gaining them national and international radio play, while being play-listed worldwide. Their track ‘Wasted’ was featured on BBC Introducing Across the Line. After touring the EP around Ireland an acoustic version of the track ‘Wasted’ was featured in a compilation album released during the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. The band performed their track ‘Blue Blues’ in an acoustic session for Ruach music. Formed by singer-songwriter Neil Goss, Baroda has undergone various line-up changes before settling with the current line-up that is Goss, Klontzakis and Parker. Goss began writing songs aged 15 and recruited friend Klontzakis to start a band. After a couple of years of gigging with an ever-changing line-up, childhood friend Parker joined and the band began to regularly perform live, perfecting their live set and appearance. A small collection of songs were self-produced and recording in summer 2019. Released as the debut EP, ‘The Art of Decay’. The EP helped the band gain a larger following and allowed them to perform across Ireland.
