Balloon Pilot their newest projekt is based on Matzes lyrics and songwriting and comes allong pretty quiet and mellow for the most part, but can deliver a wider range of dynamics especially live, where songs are slowly but unevitably driven into chaos. The Music ranges from pure acoustic guitar songs to fully arranged pieces including Wurlitzer piano, slide-and electric guitar, bass and upright bass, melodica, diverse percussion and subtle to outragingly loud drums. For over 15 years now Andi Haberl ( drums, backing vocals), Tobi Haberl (keys, backing vocals), Benny Schaefer (bass guitar, upright bass and backing vocals) Christian Radi Radojewski (Guitar) and Matze Brustmann (Guitar, Vocals) from the south of Munich have been playing music together and worked their way through multiple styles. On the way they released two Albums under the name Los Burritos. Nearly every member of the band has been or still is involved with other bands and projekts ranging from the Notwist, Dem Roten Gras and Jersey to Jazzbands like MaxBab or the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra. Influenced by Bands like the Beatles, Elliott Smith, the Eels or Tom Waits their debut album „Balloon Pilot“ is due to be released beginning of 2012 Millaphon Records.
