About BLAQ JOKER
Blaq Joker is the Northwest’s original psycho emcee and one of the founding fathers of the Northwest hip-hop scene. Blaq Joker dominated the underground rap scene as one of the top freestyle battlers throughout the 1980’s. In 1988, at the age of 14, Evergreen Studios released his debut album “Villains of Society”. After the release of his first album, Blaq Joker was incarcerated until the age of 18. During this time he polished his skills as an artist and composed music and wrote multiple albums. Upon his release he went back home to Riverside, California and recorded his next album “Acts of Vengeance” at Tre Studios and released it in 1991. In 1992 Blaq Joker released his third album “Triple X Click”. This album was one of the most recognized underground albums in Tacoma, with hit songs: Smoking Bud with the Devil, Cherry Bandana, and Engine of Destruction”. Coming up in at the peak of gang activity in Tacoma city, he was once again incarcerated and was released in 1994. Blaq Joker was still a major factor in the Northwest scene and many record labels were bidding for him. He eventually signed with Ocean Records. His fourth album would not be released due to disputes concerning Blaq Jokers subject matter and raw & uncut rap style. Blaq Joker soon left Ocean Records and decided not to change his original style and refused to go commercial. Blaq Joker hooked up with his long time friend, Lok Skywalker, and they formed the gangster rap group “Bulldog Playaz” and came out with the album “The Dirty Dozenz” with amazing songs such as “Steel Toes Stomping and Black Caddy”. Once again Blaq Joker was imprisoned, but soon returned in 1996 and formed the all mighty rap group “Hadez Click” with members such as: Tak Patron aka Spooky G, Stomp Dog. In 1998, Blaq Joker once again teamed up with Evergreen Studios to record the legendary Hadez Click album “Children of the Corn” with Tak Patron, Stomp Dog, D-Bone, Baby Seven, and Tall Cann, produced by Mobb Music’s Doc Heaven. Within weeks of the albums debut, Tak Patron was incarcerated. Tak Patron bailed out of Pierce County and recorded all of his vocals for the next Hadez Click project in one night. “Deep Down in the Basement” would be released a year later in 2000. Soon after this, D-Bone was murdered and his case is still unsolved. Then in 2003 Hadez Click “Underworld Unleashed” was released by 6 Gunz Muzik formally known as the Bulldog Playaz. In 2004 Hadez Click “Spades Tight” was released. In 2005 Blaq Joker released his solo album “Play Your Cardz Right” with hit songs such as: Northwest Coastin, Wannabeez, Gangsta Shit, and Stuck in Traffic. In 2006 Blaq Joker featured on Lok Skywalker’s debut album “Lok 2 This.” After Lok Skywalker’s release from Pierce County Jail in late 2007, Blaq Joker once again teamed up with his old friend Lok Skywalker and was featured on “Lokology.” Then in the summer of 2009 Blaq Joker dropped his mixtape “Joker joker Duece,” with such hits as: Evilwayz, Niggaz wanna Hate, Get wit Me, and 50 Feet featuring C.A.U.T.I.O.N from CNE wreckords, and Big Treal from On the Block Records. Blaq Joker currently released a new project a double CD with Lok Skywalker and Tak Patron called the Hadez Click “Warlordz.” (East coast and West coast editions). www.facebook.com/blaqjoker www.reverbnation.com/blaqjoker www.lastfm.com/blaqjoker www.youtube.com/6gunzmuzik Booking info: sealevelmarketing@live.com
