About Awwful
a fixture in Montréal’s queer underground party scene, Awwful is the cofounder and resident DJ of staple Mile End/Mile Ex parties Glitter Bomb and Unikorn. their fiery DJ sets are known for blending bubblegum bass, hyperpop and deconstructed club music with pop hits, bringing the sound of the URL to the IRL. their work as a producer, songwriter and vocalist is decidedly more introspective, borrowing textures and tones from the club to craft songs from the heart ♡ in 2022, Awwful was the supporting act for Alice Glass at her Montréal stop on the Traumabond tour. Earlier that year, they opened for Cecile Believe and Mood Killer at Montréal’s Mural Festival.
