About Aspektz
Aspektz |aka| Mr. Thoro | aka | Ontario Banderas | aka | Argyle Royale “Meet success like a gentleman, and meet disaster like a man.” – A. Morgan For years, Toronto’s most thorough artist has been waiting in the shadows of the corner office, preparing for this moment. Aspektz, more affectionately known as Mr. Thoro or Ontario Banderas, began writing and recording in his formative years, mixing the eclectic palette of sounds he was bombarded with in a packed house. At 6 years old, he was knocking on neighborhood doors to perform for every child’s currency - candy. By the time he was 13, the stage shifted and he was peddling mixtapes at high school dances across Ontario. It became clear early on to everyone around him that, although the leader of the True Thorobredz was gifted in the art of business, it was the art behind this business that would lead him to his dreams. Born on December 9th, 1985, Mr. Thoro was a unique child. Raised by two hardworking parents, business was always the order of the day. His father, a blues and rock enthusiast, would spend dinner explaining the complexities of entrepreneurialism, leadership and integrity, drilling the merit of independence into Aspektz young mind. It was only natural, from these experiences, that he would blend his passion for writing music with the business of entertainment, thus creating the True Thorobredz. After releasing his first single from Academic Probation through iTunes, entitled In The TDot, it quickly became apparent that the young CEO’s investments were about to pay dividends. Aspektz catapulted his momentum exponentially with the follow-up, Fresh, a manifesto for all things unique, crisp and clean. Next up was the reggae-infused smash I Love Your Style. The Rich Kidd produced masterpiece unveiled Ontario Banderas’ lustful desires to find Lady Thoro and simultaneously set the charts, and women’s hearts, on fire. The Academic Probation era is poised to begin in the fall of 2010 with a flurry of mixtapes and viral content. Birthing electro-hop, a distinct style to represent Canada internationally, the Boardroom Bully has emerged as a leader in a scene of desperately in need of a shepherd. With his wingtips shined and his French cuffs rolled up, the industry better get an understanding of all things Aspektz or prepare for a hostile takeover.
