Arnold Dreyblatt and Paul Panhysen are both formidable composers in their own right, but, when a rare recording of the two collaborating as Duo Geloso surfaced, Australia’s Black Truffle label was motivated to release it as a standalone record. The recording, which was captured during their December 1987 performance at Het Apollohus in the Dutch city of Eindhoven, features sustained drones and improvised lines on the guitar, bass, and Synsonics drum machine.
