About Ark Royal
There are multiple artists with this name. 1. Ark Royal is an acoustic/folk project originally from the Pocono area of Northeastern PA. Founding members are SteveO from The Holy Mess and Nick Dailey of the now-defunct Stay Six. They have been writing, recording and performing together under the Ark Royal moniker for over 2 years. Performances are stripped down "campfire" style sessions without amplification or microphones. The songs are a heartfelt, open, honest diary of the times and trials of growing older and moving on from the small town to the big city. Their first EP, 'Signal Fires' (released June '09), is a five-song introduction weaving tales of their formation in and around stories about failures, friends, travels and cold bars on cold nights. 'Signal Fires' is currently available for free d/l on the Ark Royal bandcamp page: arkroyal.bandcamp.com . Ark Royal is currently writing and demoing for a followup full-length, as of yet untitled. Songs from these sessions are currently available to listen on both myspace and bandcamp. 2. Ark Royal were a Melodic Heavy Metal band from Houston, Texas.
