About Apache Medicine Man
Formed in early 2010, Apache Medicine Man have established themselves as one of Melbourne’s most energetic and unique live acts. After decimating the Cherry Bar in August with the release of their debut single Breaking Tides, the heavy blues psychedelic rock outfit are gearing up to showcase their debut EP set for release in summer 2013. After playing festivals such as Rock The Bay and Rock ‘N Load, Apache medicine Man have secured huge support slots with several premier acts including Dead Letter Circus, Graveyard Train, King Of The North and Jackson Firebird to name a few. With their unique take on psychedelic rock and blues, Apache Medicine Man has managed to captivate and hypnotise their audiences at every opportunity. Fronted by Tigran Haruyunyan’s distinctive jangle and fuzz guitar tones, huge riffs and unique vocal capabilities ranging from subtle to explosive in an instant prove Apache Medicine Man are a force to be reckoned with. This is before noticing the rock solid rhythm section, comprising of Sam Ratcliffe's overdriven fuzzed out bass and soaring backing vocals, driven by Mick Kilpatrick’s dynamic, explosive grooves from behind the kit. “These guys have a massive sound for a three piece, and much much promise to make a sizeable name for themselves in heavy rock music.” Rod Whitfield buzzmagazine.com.au
