About Annora
This epic journey started in 2006, when 6 friends from different bands around the cambridge/kitchener/waterloo scene decided to merge forces. After contemplating over names for a few months, Annora (latin for honor) was the name of choice. Shortly after starting, the band had received several good reviews as well as a few bad ones, but none the less seemed to be the talk of the town . After playing countless live shows across ontario and with a pile of honorable bands, the boys realized they had several different ideas of the musical direction they wanted to take this band. The band decided to take a break early 2008, which would end up lasting over a full year. In 2009, the band realized they were lost without playing music and decided they were going to make a comeback. Under the name "The legend. The Grave" the band played two comeback shows in brantford, as well as in london with Abandon all Ships! Quite quickly after those shows, the band felt that the name "Annora" was much more suitable for their dedication to music. Since the return, the band has made several line-up changes and has been at it non-stop. Confident that Annora has its strongest and most devoted line-up to date, consisting of guitarists Adam Briand and Devon Rebello, drummer Chris Staats, vocalist Chris Tudisco and bassist Kyle Martin they began recording their debut e.p. "The Rebirth". The e.p. named appropriately for the bands new beginning is being recorded with producer Jesse Bartkiewicz (The Battlecat, Liferuiner, Lions and more) and should be out by mid-march, 2010. With passion the band confidently blasts the sights and sounds of suppression and control as well as triumph and the changing of times. The bands great stage presence and lights as well as their polished sound keep more and more people coming to every show. Come see this powerful, enrgetic band for yourself, as they plan on doing big things in 2010 and truely love your support. "Love us, Hate Us We are Annora and we are here to stay."
