About And That
And That is the solo project of New Zealand native come Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Scott Cleary. After his wife poked fun at the fact that he'd never written a song about her, he decided to write a whole EP solely about her and And That was born. 2019's This EP was produced by Zac Farro (Paramore, HalfNoise, Becca Mancari) and mixed by Carlos de la Garza (Cold War Kids, M83, Cherry Glazerr) and was released by Farro's very own Congrats Records. The EP was Cleary's introduction to releasing his own music and being a frontman after years in bands and co-writing. He embraced the opportunity to create music that explored what he loved about songwriting on his own terms. "Imagine if Deerhunter surfed and were really happy". Easy going, feel-good and uncomplicated have remained the And That mantra into his upcoming release "I Am The Mirror" - the 11-song LP which was also produced by Zac Farro and will be out on Congrats Records this coming May.
