About All The Islands
All the Islands is one of the many darlings from How Is Annie records. And like what has become typical for HIA bands, they combine many genres - mainly emo and progressive rock/metal. This results in a band sounding a bit like I Hate Myself, rest of my life and Dominic, a bit like Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu and At the Drive-in, and even old school progressive rock mammoths like King Crimson. The band got together in 2005 in a celler on Grünerløkka in Oslo, without any clear direction. However after a short while they completed a couple of tunes that indicated where this band would move in the near future. After jamming a bit and playing a couple of gigs in Oslo and Notodden, they recorded their album "Polarise" in several different parts of Norway. The result is HIA 015. band members: Jon Berg - bass/vocals Magnus Dahle Larssen - guitar/vocals Wiggo Evensen Pedersen - drums Lars-Ivar Hoelstad - guitar/vocals
