Alice Taylor is the pseudonyme of a famous female jazz singer whose actual name I don't know. She used it to try a new music style for herself without being recognized as the jazz performer which could (theoretically) have ruined her reputation. The song in which she tried this new genre is called "In my dreams" and is a part of the official soundtrack CD to the computer game "Gothic 3" (composer: Kai Rosenkranz).
